Day 1: - Arrival in Colombo - Transfer Kandy + Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic + Evening Cultural Dance Show (3h 24m || 121 km))

Today, you will arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Colombo, where you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After completing the arrival formalities, begin your journey to the scenic city of Kandy, nestled in the central highlands of Sri Lanka. En route, you have the option to visit the famous Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, where you can witness these gentle giants up close, watch them being fed, or see them bathe in the river—a truly memorable experience. Alternatively, you may stop at an elephant viewpoint for panoramic views of these magnificent creatures in their natural surroundings. Continuing your journey, you will arrive in Kandy, the cultural heart of Sri Lanka. Here, you will visit the revered Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site that houses a relic of Lord Buddha. In the evening, you can enjoy a captivating cultural dance performance, showcasing traditional Kandyan drumming, colorful costumes, and folk dances that reflect the rich heritage of the region. After the show, you will check in to your hotel in Kandy. Overnight stay at Kandy.

Day 2: - Kandy- Transfer Nuwara Eliya (2h 31m || 73.3 km)

After breakfast, you will begin the day with a visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, renowned for its vast collection of tropical plants, vibrant orchids, and the iconic avenue of towering palm trees. After exploring the gardens, you will depart for Nuwara Eliya, a picturesque hill station often referred to as “Little England” for its colonial charm and cool climate. En route, you will stop at a tea factory and plantation to witness the fascinating process of tea production, from plucking the fresh leaves to the final packaging, and enjoy the lush green landscapes of rolling tea fields. You will also visit the breathtaking Ramboda Waterfall, a stunning cascade surrounded by misty mountains, perfect for photo opportunities and a short refreshing break. Upon arrival in Nuwara Eliya, you will check in to your hotel and in the evening, take a leisurely walk around the serene Gregory Lake or stroll through Victoria Park, soaking in the crisp mountain air and tranquil surroundings. You will then return to your hotel for an overnight stay, resting amid the charming beauty of Nuwara Eliya.

Day 3: - Nuwara Eliya Sightseeing

Enjoy your hearty breakfast and you will embark on a full day of sightseeing around the charming hill station of Nuwara Eliya. Your day begins with a visit to the Seetha Amman Temple, a beautiful Hindu shrine steeped in legend and surrounded by lush greenery, believed to be linked to the epic Ramayana. Next, you will explore the Hakgala Botanical Garden, known for its vibrant collection of roses, orchids, and exotic plants, offering a peaceful retreat amid nature. You will then have the opportunity to revisit Gregory Lake, a serene spot perfect for a leisurely stroll or even a boat ride, and take a relaxing walk through Victoria Park, where colorful flowers and well-maintained gardens create a tranquil atmosphere. Afterward, you can wander through the quaint Nuwara Eliya town, experiencing its colonial-era architecture, local markets, and charming streets. The afternoon offers some leisure time to soak in the cool, refreshing climate of the hill country, perhaps enjoying a warm cup of Ceylon tea while taking in the scenic surroundings. Day 4: - Nuwara Eliya ➝ Bentota/ Waskaduwa (5h 26m || 204 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, then proceed to Bentota with an approximate travel time of 5 hours. En route, witness the beautiful St. Clair’s Falls and Devon Falls. You may also opt for an exciting Kitulgala white water rafting experience at an additional cost of USD 15 per person. Upon arrival in Bentota, commence sightseeing including a Maadu River boat ride, a visit to the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery, and enjoy water sports such as jet skiing, banana ride, and tube ride. Overnight stay at the hotel in Bentota.

Day 5: - Bentota - Colombo (1h 38m || 84.7 km)

Breakfast at the hotel, then proceed to Colombo with an approximate travel time of 2 hours. Enjoy a city tour of Colombo, driving through the bustling commercial areas and the tree-lined residential neighborhood of Cinnamon Gardens. Visit Fort, the former British administrative center and military garrison, Sea Street—the goldsmiths’ quarter in the heart of Pettah—the lively bazaar area, and a Hindu temple known for its elaborate stone carvings. Also visit the historic Dutch Church of Wolfendhal dating back to 1749, the BMICH, see the replica of the Avukana Buddha, and explore Independence Square. Later, enjoy shopping in Colombo with a visit to ODEL Unlimited, offering excellent opportunities to shop for designer apparel for the entire family while also indulging your taste buds. Overnight stay at the hotel in Colombo.

Day 6: - Departure

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and proceed to Bandaranaike International Airport for your flight. This concludes your memorable Sri Lanka trip, taking with you beautiful memories of beaches, hills, and cultural experiences.

Advanced Preparation

As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
A smart cap/hat and sunglasses are definitely something that you should have in your kit.
Though Veena World provides all three meals, that is breakfast, lunch, dinner and Veena World treats as per the itinerary, you can carry dry snacks of your choice in small sealed packets for munching during air travel or road journeys.
If you are travelling during the monsoon or to destinations where it is rainy, please carry a small umbrella or poncho.
For international tours, please carry a universal adapter for charging your cameras and mobile phones.
Ensure that your clothing and footwear is suitable for the destination you are travelling to.

The final package amount will be confirmed only at the time of hotel blocking and/or when passports are submitted for processing.
Hotel check-in time is 1400 hrs and check-out time is 1200 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to hotel availability and may involve additional charges. For guaranteed early check-in, additional amount must be paid at the time of booking.
Tour dates are subject to change depending on the availability of airline seats, hotels, and sightseeing slots. Last-minute tours may be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather conditions, natural calamities, or unforeseen circumstances.
Airline schedules are subject to change without prior notice. Khanna Travels will not be responsible for any rescheduling or cancellations made by the airline.
For SIC (Seat-in-Coach) tours, guests must adhere to the reporting time to ensure smooth flow of the itinerary.
Any changes in the itinerary (before or during the tour) must be informed at least 24 hours in advance and will remain subject to availability.
GST details must be provided at the time of booking/issuance. Requests shared later cannot be entertained.
Appropriate and complete visa documents should be shared in time to avoid rejection or delay. Visa approval/rejection is at the sole discretion of the consulate. Khanna Travels will not be held responsible for rejection or delays.
