In Persian inscriptions this temple is mentioned as a place for Zoroastrian worship, “Atash” itself means “fire” in Persian. It is called fire temple because of burning natural gas vents. Later we will visit Yanar Dag. Yanar dag is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula on the Caspian Sea near Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, which itself is known as the "land of fire." Today after having an appetizing breakfast, proceed towards the Gobustan and mud volcano tour, which is approx. 02 hrs drive from the hotel, First destination will be the Gobustan- The Archeological monument.
