Itinerary

Day 1: - Arrival in Kathmandu – Drive to Nagarkot (1h /26.1 km)

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu (approx. 1,400 m), you will be warmly received and proceed on a scenic drive to Nagarkot. The drive covers about 32 km and takes approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, gradually ascending through winding hill roads and traditional villages. Nagarkot, located at an elevation of around 2,175 m, is renowned for its panoramic Himalayan views and peaceful atmosphere. After check-in, the rest of the day is free to relax and enjoy the cool mountain air. Overnight stay in Nagarkot.

Day 2: - Nagarkot Sunrise – Bhaktapur – Kathmandu

Early in the morning, enjoy a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayan range from Nagarkot (weather permitting). After breakfast, begin your descent drive back to Kathmandu, covering around 35 km in about 2 hours, with a cultural stop en route at Bhaktapur Durbar Square (elevation 1,401 m). Here, explore ancient palaces, temples, courtyards, and traditional Newari architecture. After sightseeing, continue driving to Kathmandu city. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and enjoy leisure time or local exploration. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 3: - Full-Day Kathmandu Sightseeing

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day guided sightseeing tour of Kathmandu Valley, located at an average elevation of 1,400 m. Visit Pashupatinath Temple, the most sacred Hindu shrine in Nepal, followed by Guheshwori Temple, an important Shakti peeth nearby. Continue to Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest Buddhist stupas in the world, then drive to Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), perched atop a hill offering panoramic city views. Later, visit Jal Narayan (Budhanilkantha) Temple, famous for the reclining Vishnu statue. Total driving distance during the day is approximately 25–30 km, with sightseeing spread over 6–7 hours. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 4: - Kathmandu – Manakamana – Pokhara (6-8 hours/200 kms)

After early breakfast, start your scenic drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara, a distance of about 200 km, taking approximately 7–8 hours including stops. En route, stop at Manakamana Temple (elevation 1,302 m) and take a cable car ride (by own cost) for darshan, offering spectacular views of the Trishuli River valley. After the visit, continue driving along riverbanks and mid-hill landscapes to Pokhara, situated at an elevation of 822 m. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 5: - Pokhara Sightseeing & Evening Ganga Aarti

After breakfast, enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Pokhara. Begin with a peaceful boat ride on Phewa Lake and visit the Tal Barahi Temple, located on an island in the lake. Continue to Devi’s Falls, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Seti Gorge, and Bindhyabasini Temple, experiencing both natural wonders and religious heritage. The total local travel distance is around 20 km, spread over 5–6 hours. In the evening, attend the serene Ganga Aarti ceremony at the bank of Phewa Lake, a spiritual and memorable experience. Overnight stay in Pokhara.

Day 6: - Pokhara – Lumbini Drive & Sightseeing ( 4-5 hours/200 Kms)

After breakfast, drive from Pokhara to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. The journey covers approximately 170 km and takes around 6–7 hours, passing through plains and foothills as you descend to Lumbini’s elevation of about 150 m. Upon arrival, begin local sightseeing, including Maya Devi Temple, the Ashoka Pillar, the Peace Stupa, and exploration of the Eastern and Western Monastic Zones, showcasing monasteries built by different countries. After sightseeing, check in to the hotel. Overnight stay in Lumbini.

Day 7: - Lumbini – Gorakhpur Transfer (3 -4 hours /150 Kms )

After breakfast, drive from Lumbini to Gorakhpur in India, covering a distance of approximately 100 km in about 4–5 hours, including border formalities at the Nepal–India border. Gorakhpur is situated at an elevation of around 77 m. Ipon arrival, check into the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 8: - Departure

Early morning, proceed to Gorakhpur Railway Station, you will be assisted for your onward train departure, marking the conclusion of your memorable journey through Nepal.

Advanced Preparation

As everyone is becoming a frequent traveller now, we suggest that you make your own travel accessories kit to ensure a stress free holiday.
Always make sure to carry less and light luggage, use a four wheel small or medium suitcase and please make sure that you are carrying only one suitcase per person. This will ensure that you will travel smartly and without any inconveniences.
It is also recommended that you have one cross shoulder bag or haversack for your handy needs which will ensure that you are comfortable at the time of sightseeing and also easy for photography during your tour.
A smart cap/hat and sunglasses are definitely something that you should have in your kit.
Though Veena World provides all three meals, that is breakfast, lunch, dinner and Veena World treats as per the itinerary, you can carry dry snacks of your choice in small sealed packets for munching during air travel or road journeys.
If you are travelling during the monsoon or to destinations where it is rainy, please carry a small umbrella or poncho.
For international tours, please carry a universal adapter for charging your cameras and mobile phones.
Ensure that your clothing and footwear is suitable for the destination you are travelling to.

Policy-Terms & Cancellation

The final package amount will be confirmed only at the time of hotel blocking and/or when passports are submitted for processing.

Hotel check-in time is 1400 hrs and check-out time is 1200 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to hotel availability and may involve additional charges. For guaranteed early check-in, additional amount must be paid at the time of booking.
Tour dates are subject to change depending on the availability of airline seats, hotels, and sightseeing slots. Last-minute tours may be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather conditions, natural calamities, or unforeseen circumstances.
Airline schedules are subject to change without prior notice. Khanna Travels will not be responsible for any rescheduling or cancellations made by the airline.
For SIC (Seat-in-Coach) tours, guests must adhere to the reporting time to ensure smooth flow of the itinerary.
Any changes in the itinerary (before or during the tour) must be informed at least 24 hours in advance and will remain subject to availability.
GST details must be provided at the time of booking/issuance. Requests shared later cannot be entertained.
Appropriate and complete visa documents should be shared in time to avoid rejection or delay. Visa approval/rejection is at the sole discretion of the consulate. Khanna Travels will not be held responsible for rejection or delays.
