Itinerary

Day 1: - Mumbai - IXB Airport -Darjeeling (2 hr 42 min | 70.0 km)

Meet and greet on arrival at Bagdogra International Airport. After a warm welcome, proceed to Darjeeling – a renowned hill station in West Bengal, often referred to as the “Queen of the Hills.” Nestled at an altitude of 6,950 feet, Darjeeling is celebrated for its cool climate, rolling tea gardens, and breathtaking views of the Himalayas, especially the majestic Mt. Kanchenjunga. On arrival, check into your hotel. The evening is free for leisure and relaxation.
Overnight stay in Darjeeling.


Day 2: - Tiger Hill (Early Morning) + Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing

Early morning (4:00 AM) visit Tiger Hill (Subject to availability of Permit / Token) - A panoramic view of Mount Everest and Mount Kanchenjunga together. Return back to the hotel for breakfast.
After breakfast, start your day at 8.30 AM. Proceed to Darjeeling local Sightseeings
Himalayan Mountaineering Institute - The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was established in Darjeeling, India on 4 November 1954 to encourage mountaineering as an organized sport in India.
P.N. Zoological Park (Thursday closed) - The zoo is famous for its conservation breeding programmes of the red panda, Himalayan salamander, Tibetan wolf (Himalayan Wolf), and snow leopard.
Tenzing Rock - A gigantic natural rock in Darjeeling is named after Tenzing Norgay, the man who created history by climbing Everest for the first time.
Ropeway - Darjeeling Ropeway or Rangeet Valley Cable Car offers spectacular view of the valley, lush tea gardens, waterfalls, forests, rivers and snow capped Mountains
Tibetan Refugee self-help Centre (Sunday closed) - A rehabilitation centre for Tibetan refugees in the Darjeeling Himalayan hill region.
Tea Garden (outer view) - A world-famous for producing premium, aromatic teas set against scenic mountain backdrops.
Japanese Temple - Temples are built to serve the Buddhist religious tradition and are characterized by a sanmon gate at the entrance
Darjeeling Toy Train - A UNESCO World Heritage Site, offers a nostalgic ride through scenic hills and charming mountain villages.
Evening free for shopping or leisure.
Return to Hotel, enjoy dinner at Hotel & Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 3: - Darjeeling to Namachi to Gangtok (Approx. 128 km | 6-7 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Gangtok. En route, visit Namchi (Siddheshwar Dham).
Siddheshwar Dham - a cultural and spiritual hub of South Sikkim. Explore Samdruptse, home to the towering statue of Guru Padmasambhava, and visit Siddheshwar Dham (Chardham), a pilgrimage site featuring replicas of India’s four sacred dhams. After sightseeing, continue the scenic drive to Gangtok.
Gangtok – the charming capital of Sikkim, nestled in the eastern Himalayas at an altitude of around 1,650 meters. Known for its spectacular views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and its blend of Buddhist traditions with modern city life, Gangtok is a perfect mix of serenity and vibrancy. On arrival, check in to your hotel. The evening is free for leisure. Enjoy Dinner at Hotel.
Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 4: - Gangtok Local Sightseeing.

After breakfast, Start for a Full day city tour covering
Tashi view point - Offers breathtaking panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and surrounding peaks.
Ganesh Tok - A small hilltop temple dedicated to Lord Ganesh, known for its serene views and photo spots.
Hanuman Tok - A peaceful temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman, offering stunning vistas and a tranquil atmosphere.
Flower show - A vibrant exhibition of Sikkim’s diverse and colorful seasonal blooms, located near White Memorial Hall.
Cottage Industry - Displays and sells traditional Sikkimese handicrafts and handlooms, promoting local artisans.
Handicraft Centre - A government-run center showcasing handmade carpets, masks, and wood carvings (closed on Sunday and 1st & 3rd Saturday). Institute of Tibetology - (Closed on Sunday),
Dro-dul Chorten - A prominent Buddhist stupa surrounded by prayer wheels, built to drive away evil spirits.
Gonjang Monastery - A lesser-known but peaceful monastery offering spiritual ambiance and Himalayan views.
Banjakhri Falls - A scenic waterfall amidst landscaped gardens, featuring cultural statues and nature trails.
Evening back to the hotel.
Overnight stay in Gangtok

Day 5: - Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir (53 Kms | 3 Hrs. one-way)

After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to -
Visit the beautiful Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake nestled at 12,400 ft, known for its changing colors and scenic beauty.
Visit the revered Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir, a memorial dedicated to a martyred Indian soldier, believed to protect soldiers in the region. Return to Gangtok by evening.
Nathula Pass (subject to permit and weather conditions), a historic Indo-China border point at 14,140 ft, offering breathtaking views and patriotic significance.
Enjoy Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Documents for Permits – 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy of Photo ID Proof Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card & Adhaar Card is not accepted). For Children below 18 years, Birth Certificate / School Id / College Id are must. Original needs to carry while traveling.
In case of Landslide or any other reason, if Tsomgo Lake is closed we will provide alternate sightseeing.

Day 6: - Departure : Gangtok - IXB Airport (3h 59m | 122 km) - Mumbai

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed for your transfer to Bagdogra International Airport (approximately 125 km / 4–5 hours) for your onward journey. Cherish the beautiful memories of your Sikkim-Darjeeling trip as you head back home.

• Dress right – Choose clothing and footwear suited to the climate and culture of your destination.
• Currency & Payments- Carry local currency or an international forex/prepaid travel card for ease of transactions. Credit/Debit cards are widely accepted in most destinations, but it is advisable to keep some cash for small purchases.
• Health & Safety – Carry essential medicines and a small first-aid kit. Keep a copy of your prescriptions if you are on regular medication. Travel insurance is strongly recommended for your safety and peace of mind.

Policy-Terms & Cancellation

• The final package amount will be confirmed only at the time of hotel blocking and/or when passports are submitted for processing.
• Hotel check-in time is 1400 hrs and check-out time is 1200 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to hotel availability and may involve additional charges. For guaranteed early check-in, additional amount must be paid at the time of booking.
• Tour dates are subject to change depending on the availability of airline seats, hotels, and sightseeing slots. Last-minute tours may be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather conditions, natural calamities, or unforeseen circumstances.
• Airline schedules are subject to change without prior notice. Khanna Travels will not be responsible for any rescheduling or cancellations made by the airline.
• For SIC (Seat-in-Coach) tours, guests must adhere to the reporting time to ensure smooth flow of the itinerary.
• Any changes in the itinerary (before or during the tour) must be informed at least 24 hours in advance and will remain subject to availability.
• GST details must be provided at the time of booking/issuance. Requests shared later cannot be entertained.
• Appropriate and complete visa documents should be shared in time to avoid rejection or delay. Visa approval/rejection is at the sole discretion of the consulate. Khanna Travels will not be held responsible for rejection or delays.
